License transfer

Existing IISpeed customers transfer to mod_pagespeed 2.1 at no cost. Transfer your license with the order number or the email address the license was bought under, and we confirm the transfer — handled manually, usually within a business day or two. The line is open source now, so no key is needed to keep running.

Getting the software

mod_pagespeed is open source under Apache-2.0 — there is nothing to buy to run it. Downloads and support plans are at modpagespeed.com.

IIS-specific limitations

Most PageSpeed filters work identically on IIS. The following are known exceptions:

• convert_meta_tags — not available on IIS due to differences in how Apache and IIS handle HTTP headers.
